Best Thanksgiving Ever

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving here in the states. I’m not a fan of the roots of this particular holiday, but I am a fan of any excuse to get family together and cook.

This year, we have so much to be thankful for. More than ever before.

Two babies. Two heartbeats.

Baby A was thumping away at 126 bpm, and Baby B was close behind at 123 bpm. Both are measuring on track.

As they handed me our ultrasound photos, my hands were shaking so badly I could hardly grab hold of them. Our nurse was squealing and our RE hugged me. I may have cried. Repeatedly.

It’s a happy, happy day. We are so grateful and excited. (And terrified, but I’m trying to keep that in the backseat for now.)

Twins. It’s official.

Happy Thanksgiving!

  1. I am beyond excited and happy for you and Catch! Send a high five her way! Twins are so exciting (and petrifying!) but don’t worry…at least you’ll have a ton of hand me downs (from us πŸ™‚ ) SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!! When will you be sharing the news with your family?

    • Thank you! I’m so glad I have you two (four) to learn from!!!! As far as telling, our parents know, but other than them it’s sort of happening in layers. My mom’s side of the family is tiny, so we’re telling them tomorrow. They already knew about IVF and everything, so we know they’re going to ask at Thanksgiving and I don’t want to lie. Catch’s family & my dad’s family have to wait until Christmas. It’s hard to keep big secrets over the holidays when there’s so much togetherness. Especially since I’ve been feeling so lousy–and sober! That’s probably the biggest red flag! Lol

  2. YAY!!!!! A Happy Thanksgiving it is! I’m not a fan of the roots either, but I always am happy to celebrate togetherness and remember all the things we have to be thankful for. I am thankful to check this blog daily and be reminded of how lucky I am to have found a community of caring, loving people online going through the same things as my husband and myself. I’m still just absolutely over the moon for you and Catch. Congratulations from Seattle!
